Get Plugged In

Feeling a part of our family doesn’t just happen on Sunday mornings.  It happens by being an active participant in the ministries of JupiterFIRST Church – your church.

It’s never easy to lose a loved one. Talking with others who have gone through a loss can be helpful, inspiring, and cleansing. Grief Support, led by Christine vonBallmoos, meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 10:00-11:30am in the Bethany room of CSR. No need to sign up, just come as you are.

Partners in Service Team, facilitated by Anna Doolittle and Lori Oberacker-Pardue, is a group focused on expanding opportunities for JupiterFIRST members and friends to partner with organizations in our community and beyond to engage in service following in the ways of Jesus. This group meets after church the 2nd Sunday of each month in CSR to dream, imagine, and expand our pathways of service. We are working with many local organizations to determine their needs and ways we might partner to serve the community. Some of our local partners include CROS Ministries through our Food on the First program and annual Gleaning event, serving meals twice a month at the Lewis Center, Friends of Foster Children Kids Closet Clean-out, and many more.

February Outreach

This month our Partners In Service team is, once again, calling our congregation into action with a Book Drive for Chasin the Dream. Our mission is to purchase NEW books for ages babies -18 years and bring them back to church no later than Sunday, February 18.

The mission of Chasin A Dream Foundation is to provide individualized life-changing assistance to families with children battling cancer, cystic fibrosis, heart disease, and other life-threatening illnesses and disabilities. Want to learn more about Chasin A Dream? Click here.

If you are interested in being a part of this exciting Partners In Service journey, please email the church office below or call 561.747.8340 and someone from the team will be in contact with you.

Caring for a loved one with dementia is something you just do. Though done out of love, it can be difficult and emotionally draining for the caregiver.  Because of this, JupiterFIRST is, once again, offering a Dementia Caregivers Support Group.

Led by Christine VonBallmoos LCSW, this group is designed to be supportive and educational, and will provide the love and resources needed to be an effective caregiver.

You may register below or call/email the church office, 561.747.8340/info@jupiterfirst.org.

A great way to meet and get to know your church family is to volunteer alongside each other for a common goal.  The Special Events Committee is forming to plan events on and off campus, creating opportunities to serve, to connect, and to form lasting friendships. Our upcoming 40th Anniversary is in the works!  Please click below if you want to be a part of this committee.

We can’t wait to meet you!
