Your First Visit with Us

Let Us Know You Are Coming

We want to make sure that we are ready for you when you get here. To do that, we’d love for you to fill out a simple form letting us know that you’re coming. It will make your first Sunday faster!

R

Stop by the Check-In Station

When you arrive, ask a Greeter to direct you to the Children’s Check-In Area in Faith Hall. We will have kind and qualified staff waiting to get to know you and your children. Then, we will show you around the facility so you quickly feel at home!

Enjoy the Sunday Gathering!

Once your children are safely and happily in their play and learning environments, you may confidentaly enjoy the Adult Sunday Gathering, knowing that we will let you know if your child needs you.

Meet Marthe, our Kids’ Director

Marthe (pronounced Mar-tuh) was born and raised in Ohio and moved to Illinois to pursue her undergraduate education at Lincoln Christian University. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Children’s Ministry and an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education in May 2011. It is also where she met her husband, Andy. Marthe has over 10 years of professional experience leading…

How check-in works

Before Service: You can check-in your child at any available check-in station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will text your cell phone. We ask that you exit the sanctuary immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer (wearing lanyards and badges) who will direct you to your child’s room.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

Keeping kids safe

You child’s safety is of utmost importance to us. When you check in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information. (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  •  Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child’s name
  • Child’s birthdate and grade
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs, etc.) for your children

Parents’ Viewing Room

While we offer an excellent nursery at all worship gatherings, we also have a Parent’s Viewing Room (Cry Room) for mothers and fathers with infants. This room is reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment. It is located at the rear of our sanctuary and is identifiable by the large viewing windows that look into the sanctuary.
