Membership at JupiterFIRST Church is a partnership – a partnership with God and a partnership with this community of faith. We can’t do what we do and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ without you! There will be a New Members’ Class/Brunch right after Worship on September 17, 2023, in Chapel. If you are interested in learning about membership at JupiterFIRST Church, please sign up for the class here. We will welcome new members Sunday, September 24, during the 9:30am Worship Service.

Our Benchmark V philosophy of membership has been around for over 25 years.  It is simple.  We ask that you commit to strive to do five things:

PRAY.

Pray for JupiterFIRST Church regularly.

We pray for ourselves and the individuals in our lives. We pray for healing of the sick, help for the poor, and strength for the lonely and the heartbroken.  It makes perfect sense to pray for your church. Pray that we continue, through Jesus Christ, to do good works. Pray that we continue to be a beacon of hope for those who walk through our doors. Pray that we can continue to offer classes and have events that bring people closer together. Pray that the love of Jesus continues to be at the focus of our ministries here.

WORSHIP.

Worship at JupiterFIRST Church as often as possible whether in person or online.

Worship at JupiterFIRST Church is a unique experience.  One can feel it in the room – the joy of being there.  There is joy in meeting old friends and making new ones.  There is joy in seeing the little ones up on the platform for Childrens’ Time.  There is joy in listening to our youth read scripture. And there is joy in the blending of music, visuals and  preaching – you can feel the love of the Lord in the room.   So, come to Worship, you won’t regret it.

GIVE.

Strive for a 5% annual commitment of your individual or household  income to fund the ministries of JupiterFIRST Church and additional giving to outreach, mission and charity as God leads.

While the old testament calls us to tithe 10% of our income to the church, we aren’t all able to give that amount. JupiteFIRST asks that you strive to give 5%.  The emphasis is on that word strive.  Pray about it. We don’t want giving to the church to be a burden on your household.  We also recognize there are many places where you can choose to give, we appreciate anything you are comfortable giving.

PARTICIPATE.

Participate is at least one ministry

Getting involved in a ministry at the church creates friendships, helps one feel connected, a part of the greater good.  Join the Singers, teach a class, join a group or study, volunteer for events, help serve food, and more! We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus and when we participate in something greater than ourselves, wonderful things happen – for the receiver and the giver.

INVITE.

Invite at least one person to attend JupiterFIRST Church each year.

Wherever two or three are gathered…. It’s really easy.  We share what we love.  We tell our friends about the new restaurant that had excellent food and service. Oh, and that drill you just bought? Your neighbor will surely be hearing about how awesome it is. Why not tell your friends about the church you love?
