The Enneagram is a rich, multi-layered system that helps us understand who we are and how we live in the world. It uncovers our deepest motivations and shines a light on patterns of behavior we may not have noticed before.  With amazing clarity the Enneagram can reveal our inner life and lead us to spiritual growth, wholeness and authentic living.

In the Wednesday, May 8 presentation, Martie will offer a very brief overview of the Enneagram and share stories of how working in a spiritual context with this tool can lead to transformation in self-understanding and increased respect for the sacredness of all people.

In the Monday, May 13, more in-depth class, Martie will provide insight and guidance for your own self discovery in learning your Enneagram type. The class hopes to not only create deeper awareness of your type, but will encourage you to take a look at how you relate to other Enneagram types within your life. The class is fun, insightful and truly an eye opener for most.

Martie McMane is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ for 40 years, the Rev. Martie McMane worked both on the national and local level during her long ministry. As a certified Enneagram teacher, for 29 years, Martie has reached well over 1,000 people with her in-depth knowledge of the Enneagram and how its understanding can be transformative for our lives. In retirement, she currently leads workshops, offers spiritual direction, and works with non-profit staffs to help people grow spiritually and increase their self- understanding and compassion. Verse mapping is a technique used to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word. It is a method of breaking down a verse by identifying and defining keywords, historical context, alternate translations, and cross references.  Verse mapping goes beyond just reading, it digs deep into scripture revealing connections, consistencies and truths in the Bible that are so easily overlooked. This practical Bible study method helps Christians of all levels understand and clarify God’s Word

We know from scripture that, after Jesus was raised from the dead, He appeared to hundreds of
people over a 40-day period. Then, as He led His disciples out to the vicinity of Bethany, He
ascended into heaven.

Now what?

In this series, we will study church-life after Jesus was taken up. Who was in charge? What happened to the 12? How did the early church grow, survive, and prosper under an oppressive Roman Empire? Join this study to explore these and other questions about the infancy of Christianity.

Whether you are a beginner or practiced in Centering Prayer, we invite you to drop by after work or before dinnertime. Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. No need to sign up, just pop in.
