I moved to Jupiter from the Bahamas a decade ago to pursue a graduate degree in accounting. Prior to coming to the States, I worked in the field of corporate financial and nonprofit accounting. Many people don’t know that I have traveled around the world with the Bahamas National Choir singing as well as acting in musicals and plays.
Having completed my master’s degree in accounting, my goal now is to obtain my CPA license which I am currently pursuing. I am the mother of two wonderfully amazing boys, they have truly taught me what it means to be a mother. I also feel that they are my biggest blessing and gift from God.
After moving here, my first thought was to seek out a church. Why? A simple answer would be it was ingrained in me. I was raised in a very religious household, so for me it was necessary to find a place where I could become a part of a family that communed with God comfortably, no judgement.
Once I discovered JupiterFIRST Church, I have never looked back.
After the birth of my medically complex second born, the many prayers from the JupiterFIRST community gave me the strength and endurance to persevere and allowed for successful recovery and healing.
I love this church; bonus point – the fact that my kids love it too.
For someone like me—a social butterfly “transplant” having no family around and seeking to belong—JupiterFIRST became my family and my friend. I have never once felt like I did not belong or excluded, because JupiterFIRST is that kind of church.
