CENTERING PRAYER
When: 4th Monday of each month, beginning January 23 | 5:30-6:15pm
Who: Deb Kaiser-Cross and Mark Dryden
Where: Chapel
Whether you are a beginner or practiced in Centering Prayer, we invite you to drop by after work or before dinnertime. Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. No need to sign up, just pop in.
AUGUST BOOK CHAT
When: Wednesday, August 16 | 6:30-8:00pm
Who: Deb Kaiser-Cross
Where: CSR
For over a decade, Brené Brown has found a special place in our hearts as a gifted mapmaker and a fellow traveler. She is both a social scientist and a kitchen-table friend whom you can always count on to tell the truth, make you laugh, and, on occasion, cry with you. This is one of her first books and is a great read.
SCRIPTURE VERSE MAPPING
When: Wednesdays, July 12 & 19 | 9:30-11:00am & Wednesdays, September 13 & 20 | 9:30-11:00am
Who: Michelle Premute
Where: CSR
Verse mapping is a technique used to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word. It is a method of breaking down a verse by identifying and defining keywords, historical context, alternate translations and cross references. Verse mapping goes beyond just reading. It digs into scripture revealing connections, consistencies, and truths in the Bible that are so easily overlooked.
JUNE BOOK CHAT
When: Wednesday, June 21 | 6:30-8:00pm
Who: Deb Kaiser-Cross
Where: CSR
Book: How to Begin When Your World is Ending by Molly Phinney Baskette (Christian Pastor, Cancer Survivor, Author and Mom)
As a United Church of Christ pastor, Molly Baskette has been a companion during the most vulnerable and unsettled periods of people’s lives. Weaving together her own story and the stories of those she encountered in her life of faith, Baskette mines joy from all the hardest parts of being human.

Meet Lori
LMHC, CNHP
Hi, I am Lori Oberacker-Pardue. I have been a member of JFC for over 30 years. My roots grow deep here. My three children, Marc (age 32), Hana (age 31), and Luke (29) grew up in this church. I met my husband, Jack Pardue, here as well. My mother, Marie Oberacker, is also a long-time member.
As much as my family is a part of JupiterFIRST Church, the church is part of my family. My kids participated in Sunday School and Youth Group growing up and Hana was even the Interim Director of Youth Ministries for a year. My husband, Jack, is a member of the JupiterFIRST Singers. Me, well, I have worn many hats over the years – all very fashionable, of course.
What you can expect Sunday mornings
We know coming to a new church can feel a bit awkward. We want you to feel comfortable and encouraged from the moment you arrive on campus. Here’s what you can expect on Sunday mornings, online or in-person:
60-minute gathering
Joyful and Uplifting Worship
Practical and Compelling Sermons
Progressive and Inclusive Community
Monthly Communion
Exceptional Kids' Programs
Commitment to Sacred Space and Liturgy
Times + Locations
