FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SUNDAY

Sunday FAQ’s

  • A typical service at JupiterFIRST Church lasts about 60 minutes. We begin with uplifting music led by our talented Choir, Singers, and Band. Song lyrics are projected onto screens so you can sing along if you’d like, but there’s no pressure—just come as you are. As part of our tradition, we also say the Lord’s Prayer together as a community, with the words displayed on the screen for those who wish to join.

After the music, one of our pastors shares an encouraging, grace-filled message centered on Jesus. On the first Sunday of each month, we close with communion. We practice an open table, meaning all are welcome to participate, but there’s no expectation - you won’t feel out of place whether you choose to join or not.

  • The culture at JupiterFIRST Church is welcoming, joyful, and overflowing with grace. Sundays are filled with authentic community, uplifting worship, and a spirit of kindness and hope. No matter who you are or where you're from, you’ll be embraced just as you are. Come as you are - you will be warmly welcomed here!

  • We believe kids aren’t just the future of the church - they are the church! At JupiterFIRST, we joyfully welcome children and invite them to experience God in a loving and faith-filled community.

For safety and a smooth check-in process, please register your child in the Narthex (lobby) before entering the Sanctuary. Click here for all the details about our children's programs.

Have questions? Contact our Director of Children’s Ministries, Marthe Hjortshoj, at marthe@jupiterfirst.org - we’d love to connect with you!

  • Have a 6th–12th grade student? We’d love for them to join us for Worship at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings!

When you arrive, have them stop by the youthFIRST table in the Narthex (lobby), where some of our middle and high school students will be hanging out, ready to welcome them and help them feel at home.

Partway through the service, 6th–12th graders are invited to Bible and Bagels - our YouthFIRST Sunday School program. They’ll head over to our Center for Spiritual Renewal (CSR) on the west side of campus to enjoy bagels, a lesson, and a meaningful discussion.

We’re excited to welcome your teen into our community! Have any additional questions? Email Sherlyn Burnham-Kuehn, our Director of Student Ministries, at sherlyn@jupiterfirst.org - we’d love to connect!

  • Whatever makes you feel comfortable! Some people come in jeans, others prefer to dress up a bit - either way, you’re welcome just as you are. We’re a come-as-you-are kind of church.

  • At JupiterFIRST Church, our music is vibrant, heartfelt, and intentionally diverse. We love blending contemporary worship songs with the rich tradition of old hymns — reimagined with fresh energy and meaning. Our talented worship band and choir lead with authenticity, creating a sound that’s both modern and rooted, welcoming all generations into a meaningful worship experience.

  • At JupiterFIRST Church, communion is a sacred and inclusive moment where we remember the life, love, and teachings of Jesus. We practice open communion, which means everyone is welcome — no matter your background, age, or faith journey. It is offered on the first Sunday of every month and shared with reverence and simplicity, creating space for reflection, gratitude, and connection with God and one another.
