HIGH SCHOOL ROCK THE UNIVERSE

Raise Your Hands. Raise Your Voice. Raise Your Spirit.

Florida’s biggest Christian music festival returns for its 26th year. Rock the Universe is an unforgettable weekend of faith and fun. On January 26 and 27, 2024, experience powerful beats from Christian Music’s brightest stars and thrilling rides at Universal Studios Florida.

Our high schoolers will leave at 5:00pm on Friday, January 26. Please meet at Porter at 4:45pm and plan to bring your dinner to eat on the bus.  Register and get more details here!

If money is an issue, please reach out to me personally and we will work something out. Deadlines are approaching faster than they have in the past. A room list is due to Universal by December 3 and full payment is due to them by December 15. You’re welcome to pay in full whenever you’d like or in installments:

CHRISTMAS KIDS’ CHOIRS

Our Christmas Kids’ Choirs will help lead worship for our 9:30am worship service on Sunday, December 10, in the Sanctuary. Get ready for our pop-up nativity as well – hope to see you there! 

HOLIDAY GREENS FUNDRAISER

Our middle and high school students are offering Fresh Holiday Greens for Christmas! Spruce up your home or give as a gift. Evergreen sales will provide funds for Mission Trips and scholarship dollars for our youth. youthFIRST FAIR TRADE COFFEE FUNDRAISER

In addition to Christmas Greens, our youth are fund raising with Fair Trade Coffee from Chapin coffee in Guatemala what will make great Christmas gifts! “Fuel your day with purpose” and choose from 6 flavors available to taste test at coffee/donut table in the Narthex over the next few weeks, order your bag of ground or whole bean coffee in the Narthex. The cost is $18 a bag of which $5 goes toward Mission Trips and scholarships for Camps/Retreats. Super easy to order – click here!

Chapín Coffee is a social impact company determined to end acute child malnutrition in the coffee-growing regions of Guatemala, where the childhood malnutrition rate is 75%. Since launch, Chapín Coffee has donated over 45,000 meals to children in the coffee-growing communities around Santiago, Atitlán, Guatemala. They offer a variety of specialty grade, artisan roasted coffees to cafes, offices and online consumers, and donate a portion of profits to deliver meals to children in rural Guatemala through their NGO partners at Pueblo a Pueblo.

PARENT’S DAY & NIGHT OUT

Looking for a date day or date night? Do you need afternoon or evening to get some things done? Or maybe you are just looking for something fun for your kids? Check it out Parents Day / Night Out! 

Parents’ Day Out: Sunday, December 17, from 11:00am-2:00pm in Faith Hall

Kids can join us for an afternoon of games, activities, movies, and fun. Pizza lunch and snacks will be provided. Sign up here!

Kids must be in preschool (at least 3 years old AND fully potty trained)-5th grade to participate.

Suggested donation is $15 per hour per family, with all proceeds going to Mission Possible (the fundraiser for middle and high school students who are going on mission trips next summer).

THE WAVE & ANCHORED WEEKLY YOUTH GROUPS

The Wave: Mondays, 6:00-8:00pm in Faith Hall

Anchored: Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00pm in Porter Hall

BIBLE & BAGELS

Middle and high school students join us each Sunday! We’ll start in the sanctuary with the rest of the church for the beginning of the worship service and and when the younger children head out to Faith Hall, the youth will head over to the Center for Spiritual Renewal (CSR). This will be a time to go deeper into the scripture and in our faith.

HELP SPONSOR PIZZAS

We go through A LOT of snacks, so we’re always grateful for donations of individually wrapped chips and cookies. Also, it cost $35-$40 per week at both The Wave and Anchored for us to serve pizza. PARENTS CONNECT

We are excited to announce our newest way to serve at JupiterFIRST Church, Parents Connect Ministry – Let’s get you plugged in! We need parent helpers to:

  • bring in a meal, cupcakes or cake to our Anchored and Wave youth groups once a month
  • offer their home for entertaining
  • help with our new Sunday School programming coming up February 27
  • provide Confirmation class help beginning April 3
  • bring in Confirmation class lunches

Meet Sherlyn,                 Director of Youth Ministries

Hi there, I’m Sherlyn Burnham-Kuehn, JupiterFIRST’s Director of Youth Ministries. I am a fourth generation, born and raised Floridian, from Tampa. I graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Music back in 2000. Continuing my education at PBA, I received a Master of Arts in Theology in 2003. My husband, Henry, and our two daughters, Lili and Helen, began attending JupiterFIRST in late 2016. Over the last few years I have participated in the JupiterFIRST Singers, our Children’s Ministries and MomsFIRST. I have also served one term on the nominating committee. Read more…

We know how difficult it can be to navigate a new church as a parent or teenager. We’re here to help! Our goal is to ensure that you have a positive experience from start to finish. Here is how you can help us make that happen:

Decide When To Attend

.We welcome our middle and high school students in worship at 9:30am Sunday mornings, Bible & Bagels Sunday School program, and in our ANCHORED program for high school students on Wednesday nights 6:00-8:00pm and for THE WAVE program for middle school students on Monday nights 6:00-8:00pm. Join us for the first time at any of these times. Your choice!
